Our Mission

Early Bird provides functional intervention to infants and toddlers in their natural environment.

Our goal is meet the developmental needs of infants and young children through speech-language, occupational and physical therapy, community-based rehabilitative services, special education and advocacy, as well as the Baby Signs® Program. We strive to support caregivers, giving them the tools to provide their children with the help they need.

Early Bird Presents
Baby Signs®

The Baby Signs® Program teaches babies to use simple, easy-to-do gestures for communicating with their parents and caregivers. These gestures or "signs" represent an item or concept, like "cat," "eat," or "all gone." Using signs gives babies a way to "talk" with their parents, before they can talk. Babies can communicate about the world around them, long before they have mastered their verbal speaking skills!

This is an exciting and fulfilling program backed by over 20 years of research. Interested? Look inside for more information about the benefits of the Baby Signs® Program, supporting research, classes offered and contact information.

Baby Signs® classes will be offered at several locations around Charlotte, including Shalom Park, Joseph Beth Bookstore at Southpark Mall, and at 1014 East Boulevard. Please inquire about discounts for hosting a class at your home.
